Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in an update regarding the SHOT Show 2012, the leading event of the shooting, hunting, and outdoor industry that wraps up today in Las Vegas at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Our trade show staff reported earlier that the event was even more expansive than last year, and that the show’s law enforcement and security products portion has grown larger than ever before.
Of particular note in this year’s proceedings was a rather large proliferation of companies manufacturing and marketing camping products and accessories. Additionally, the always popular areas of hunting, fishing, and firearms were strongly represented as well. Our staff additionally noted that in their conversations and networking efforts with various exhibitors, many were receptive to reviewing new product information from the Innovation Direct™ roster going forward.

Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing checking in with an update on what will be the first trade show of the 2012 Innovation Direct itinerary, the always productive SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show) Show. The 2012 edition of the event will take place January 17th-20th at the Sands Expo Center and as customary, will feature the largest selection anywhere of shooting sports, hunting, and law enforcement products on display.
As per their official website, the SHOT Show attracts buyers from all 50 states and over 100 countries, and typically features anywhere between 1,500 and 2000 exhibitors over 630,000 square feet of exhibit space! Our staff looks forward to establishing new relationships with companies in the hunting, shooting sports, outdoor cooking, camping, law enforcement, and personal security products categories, just to name a few. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update regarding the dynamic SEMA and AAPEX shows, currently taking place concurrently in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are pleased to report that our trade show staff has reported that there has been a significant increase in attendance at both events as compared to last year, certainly an encouraging sign that new products in the multi-billion dollar automotive industry are in high demand.
As customary, our staff has been networking with exhibitors and confirming their willingness to review new products and patents on an ongoing basis through our Innovation Direct To Industry™ program. One manufacturer in particular, a California-based outfit that currently fabricates, markets, and distributes a wide variety of products in multiple segments within the automotive market, enthusiastically expressed a desire to review and evaluate items in several categories for potential licensing.
Innovation Direct™ will continue to attempt to secure interest from as many companies as possible in developing an ongoing relationship, and will provide any further relevant updates stemming from these two exciting events as warranted. Check back with the Innovation Direct™ Blog for the latest!

Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update regarding the final stop on what has been a very successful 2011 trade show itinerary, the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturer’s Association) and AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo) shows. As customary, the 2011 editions of these events are shaping up to be considerably extensive in scope and Innovation Direct™ is looking forward to being an active participant in both shows. SEMA, with its usual complement of the leading automobile manufacturers in the world, will run from November 1-4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center; AAPEX, meanwhile, will once again feature the leading makers of automotive aftermarket products, a $395 billion global marketplace, and will take place November 1-3 at the Sands Exhibition Center.
The SEMA Show, always large in scale and scope, is expected to attract more than 100,000 industry leaders from more than 100 countries in the automotive, truck and SUV, powersports, and RV markets. Not to be outdone, the AAPEX Show, as per their official website, will feature exhibitors in the categories of Air Conditioning, Automotive Lighting, Electrical Systems & Batteries, Cooling Systems, Friction & Brake Systems, Undercar, New & Remanufactured Replacement Parts, Suspension & Front End, Engine & Transmission Parts, Appearance Chemicals and Functional Fluids, Equipment & Tools (Including Diagnostic, Hand Tools, Machine Shop, and Service & Installation) Computer Systems & Software, Paint and Body and Retail Warehouse Fixtures.

Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an overview of our company’s participation in the flagship event of the multi-billion dollar direct response industry, the ERA (Electronic Retailing Association) Show 2011. The proceedings unfolded between September 13th and 15th at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada and as customary, featured many of the industry heavyweights responsible for the majority of the highly successful and visible products seen regularly on television through outlets such as infomercials and home shopping channels.
Our trade show staff made the rounds of the exhibit floor and found a number of companies receptive to reviewing new products, something that is to be expected when one considers how dependent the direct response industry is on a constant flow of innovation. One trend noted during the discussions held by Innovation Direct™ staff on the show floor with a multitude of exhibitors is that a number of companies are requesting to review health and fitness items in particular.
There was also a contact made with a Latin American marketing outfit seeking to review a wide variety of inventions, and a number of conversations with established staples of the direct response world receptive to considering Innovation Direct™ inventor patents and products to add to their long list of successes. Follow-ups with all of the companies met at the ERA Show 2011 will be initiated by Innovation Direct representatives in the near future, and any relevant developments will be noted here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a quick update on how we will kick off our 4th quarter trade show itinerary for 2011. As customary, Innovation Direct™ will participate in the leading event for the prolific direct response industry, the ERAD2C Convention. This year’s proceedings will take place September 13th-15th at the exclusive Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, a venue befitting the importance and ambiance of this always terrific event.
Over the years, Innovation Direct™ has successfully networked and made inroads with many of the leaders of the direct response and infomercial world at ERA, and overall, the show has proven to be perfectly in synergy with our mission of connecting products to partners in industry that can potentially bring them to market. By its very nature and design, the direct response area is one that relies on innovation and new products on a daily basis in order to stay relevant and profitable, and Innovation Direct™ is capable of offering a consistent stream of patented and patent pending inventions to these companies.
As per the official ERA D2C website, last year’s event attracted almost 4,000 industry professionals, with the 2011 version expected to match or exceed that total. Industry giants such as Sylmark, BJ Global Direct, and Idea Village are expected to be participants, along with many other well known and successful companies. Innovation Direct™ staff meanwhile, will be on hand to forge new relationships and solidify previously established ones with as many potential licensees for products on our roster!
