Innovation Direct™ Sets Sights on Windy City for Annual Visit to International Home and Housewares Show…

Innovation Direct™ is proud to be a participant in the industry leading International Home and Housewares Show for the 11th consecutive year in 2014. This year’s proceedings, which will unfold in the customary venue of the McCormick Place in Chicago between March 15th and 18th, will mark the third consecutive year that the event takes place over a 4 day period due to its ever increasing popularity and attendance! As customary, the International Home and Housewares Show will actually feature 4 separate and distinct sections, each with their own thriving collection of leading exhibitors: Clean, Contain and Sustain, which will feature companies involved in bath, cleaning, organizational, and seasonal products among others; Dine and Design, which will focus on the cookware, tabletop, gourmet food, and home decor product industries; Discover Design, which will feature the best in the tableware, flatware, and cutlery kitchen and home collection areas; and Wired and Well, in which leading concepts in the energy conservation, appliances, and healthcare products categories will be found.

The event will also features its usual expansive international pavilion, showcasing the leading overseas manufacturers of all of these types of products. As stated on the show’s official website, the latest products from over 2,000 suppliers assembled from around the world will make their debut at the 2014 Show and the event continues to hold the distinction of being the largest housewares-only fair in the world. As per the show organizers, over 60,000 homegoods professionals will be on hand to reveal innovative new products and over 20,000 buyers will be on hand to speak with exhibitors about their latest offerings.

Innovation Direct™ Experiences Posititive Visit to KBIS Show 2014…

Innovation Directis pleased to report that its annual stop at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) was an overall productive and successful experience, particularly marked by the increased attendance and activity prompted by the inaugural co-location of the already well-attended KBIS Show with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders Show. As expected, the decision to put the two renowned events under the roof of the expansive Las Vegas Convention Center resulted in an exponential increase in opportunities for networking and making inroads into building new relationships in a largely untapped marked for Innovation Direct..

Industry leaders such as Sears Commercial, American Express, Bosch, Delta Faucets, and Electrolux are just a sampling of the many established exhibitors that were on hand over the 3 days that marked the event, which unfolded between February 4th and 6th. As customary, Innovation Directstaff diligently spoke to a number of exhibitors on the show floor in an effort to determine their receptiveness to reviewing new product information from our roster on an ongoing basis. Follow-up efforts will take place over the weeks and months ahead on behalf of inventions that match the different categories of products determined to be of interest to these companies, and any news stemming from the burgeoning connections with these manufacturers will be detailed here on the Innovation DirectBlog.

Innovation Direct™ Kicks off 2014 With Highly Productive Visit to SHOT Show in Las Vegas…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a quick update on our staff’s experience at the always dynamic SHOT Show in Las Vegas last week. As customary, this year’s proceedings were extremely well attended, with the exhibit floor teeming with visitors all the way through to the final minutes of the event’s closing day. Companies involved in the manufacture and marketing of products in the hunting, camping, outdoor, firearm, and law enforcement categories were a significant presence and well represented throughout the four days of the exhibit.

Innovation Direct™ staff was able to make new contacts with a considerable number of exhibitors, including those currently involved in  firearm accessories, specialty lighting, security products, and hunting apparel categories, among several other product segments. Follow-up efforts with these companies will unfold over the coming weeks and months in an effort to establish an ongoing relationship consisting of these manufacturers reviewing new product ideas from the Innovation Direct™ roster on a regular basis.

Innovation Direct™ Looks Forward to February Visit to Kitchen and Bath Industry Show and International Builders Show…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, here with an update on the February stop on our trade show itinerary, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (“KBIS”). The 2014 edition of this renowned event promises to be bigger than ever, as this will mark the first year that the exhibit is co-located with the National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders Show. As per an official press release, both events will run separately but concurrently at the expansive Las Vegas Convention Center between February 4th and 6th.

The combination of both industry leading shows under one roof has led to the moniker of “Design and Construction Week 2014″ being applied to the entire time frame that the events and their accompanying conferences and educational workshops will be in session. Overall, as per the official press release, “Design and Construction Week is expected to draw more than 75,000 specifiers, builders, dealers, and suppliers and 2000 exhibiting brands.” Additionally,  2014 also happens to mark the 50th anniversary of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, and the show is considered  the largest event in North America focused on the kitchen and bath segment, typically attracting more than 700 exhibitors. This particularly significant edition of the show is estimated to attract approximately 20,000 buyers and specifiers from more than 50 countries, as well as 300 members of the media. Attendees of KBIS annually include dealers, designers, architects, remodelers, wholesalers and custom builders.

As customary, Innovation Direct™ will walk the exhibit floor of both of these dynamic shows and attempt to make significant contacts with as many manufacturers and marketers willing to review new product ideas from our roster. Innovation Direct™ To Kick Off 2014 Trade Show Schedule With Annual Visit To SHOT Show…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update on our 2014 trade show itinerary. Innovation Direct™ is pleased to announce that it will celebrate the kick-off of another exciting year of trade show participation with a visit to the SHOT (Shooting Hunting and Outdoor  Trade Show) Show in Las Vegas. The proceedings will unfold over the customary 4 day period that this extensive exhibit usually covers, January 14th-17th at the Sands Expo Center. As per the SHOT Show’s official website, the show is annually the “largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries.”

The SHOT Show 2014 is expected to host manufacturers involved in the  firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services. The event annually attracts buyers from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. The show will also continue to feature its special Law Enforcement and Armed Forces section, which offers the latest technology and innovations in this rapidly expanding market segment.  As per the official SHOT Show website, show organizers expect more than 1600 exhibitors over the 600,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Sands Expo Center during this year’s event!

Innovation Direct™ Wraps Up 2013 Trade Show Schedule With Successful SEMA and AAPEX Show participation…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update of our staff’s recent participation in the leading automotive-themed trade shows in the industry, the SEMA and AAPEX events. Both exhibits were centerpieces of the annual Automotive Industry Week in Las Vegas during the first week of November. Our staff was able to navigate the expansive exhibit floors of both shows and initiate contact with a number of companies in a wide variety of sub-segments within the multi-billion dollar automotive category.

As customary, the SEMA event, which unfolded at the Las Vegas Convention Center, featured major car and truck manufacturers such as Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Honda, Hyundai, and Mazda North America . Additionally, companies focused on a number of specific product segments for motor vehicles, such as tires, brakes, engines, and a number of exterior components, were also present. The AAPEX proceedings, meanwhile, featured top manufactures from all over the world specializing in the fabrication and distribution of the extensive selection of aftermarket parts and accessories that are purchased by auto and truck owners each year for their vehicles.

The follow-up process with leads met at the event and as well as other exhibitors that were present will begin soon and will  unfold over the weeks and months ahead. Innovation Direct™ Set To Finish Off 2013 Trade Show Itinerary With Dynamic SEMA and AAPEX Events…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking with an update on the final stops on our 2013 trade show schedule, the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) and AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Parts Expo) shows. The two events are considered the preeminent exhibits in the multi-billion dollar automotive manufacturing and accessories industries and will take place November 5th-8th in Las Vegas. The AAPEX Show, three days in duration, will be held November 5th-7th at the Sands Exhibition Center while the SEMA Show, which unfolds over the aforementioned 4 day period, will once again be housed at its customary venue, the expansive Las Vegas Convention Center.

As explained on their official website, the SEMA Show is considered the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. The show typically attracts all of the world’s major automotive manufacturers, along with thousands of companies involved in the automotive products trade in some capacity. The SEMA Show also offers attendees and exhibitors a wide variety of seminars and educational events throughout its 4 days of operation. As per the show organizer’s official statistics, the SEMA Show 2012 drew more than 60,000 domestic and international buyers that descended over the event’s 12 distinct sections, while the exhibit’s New Products Showcase featured nearly 2,000 newly introduced parts, tools and components.

The AAPEX Show meanwhile, specializes in featuring the leading companies in the extensive automotive aftermarket accessories industry. The AAPEX Show is known for a true global presence among exhibitors, with a considerable number of countries represented each year on the show floor. As per the official show website, the  global motor vehicle aftermarket is currently valued at approximately $395 billion, making it a natural draw for the thousands of industry professionals and exhibitors that are expected to be a part of the 2013 edition.
