Innovation Direct™ investigates initial interest in personal medical accessory; company in question only interested in manufacturing…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back in once again with an update. Earlier Tuesday, a Innovation Direct™ representative received an e-mail from the inventor of a personal medical accessory on our roster that contained a forward of a recent correspondence exchange he’d had with a representative of New York-based Formed Plastics, Inc. The communication consisted of the inventor informing the manufacturer that he had a medical accessory concept and the company representative letting him know they would be interested in reviewing more information about it.
Our aforementioned colleague initiated contact with the manufacturer and explained that the inventor was seeking ultimately seeking a product licensing agreement wherein a company sufficiently interested in his concept would be willing to invest into the further development, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of it to consumers. Shortly thereafter, the company representative replied and explained that Formed Plastics did not get involved in the marketing and sales of a product, and essentially developed and manufactured products for a fee.
We will continue to pursue licensing success on behalf of this product and will update you on any developments, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Check in often!
