Update: Innovation Direct™ receives Confidential Disclosure Agreement from Ohio-based manufacturer regarding school supply invention; terms deemed acceptable…
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back one final time for a Tuesday. Updating a situation we had most recently touched upon in a Christmas Eve entry (“Update: International Technology Transfer receives brief update from Ohio-based manufacturer regarding information sent on school supply invention; concrete feedback expected after the new year…“), we have received a response from the manufacturer that was the subject of that posting regarding the preliminary, non-confidential information and non-disclosure agreement we had sent them for a school supply invention from our roster. The company determined they were interested in reviewing detailed design information on the concept but opted to send us their version of a non-disclosure agreement for review and eventual signature, as opposed to executing our version of the same.
Accordingly, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the situation has already reviewed the terms of the company’s Confidential Disclosure Agreement and found them to be more than adequate in terms of protecting invention information submitted under it. After consulting with the inventor, our aforementioned colleague signed the document and faxed it back to the contact at the company, who incidentally, is the Vice President of Research and Development. Once the agreement is received in return fully executed, we will provide the manufacturer with access to all of the detailed design information available on the invention.
We are certainly pleased to report on this development and will continue to provide all pertinent updates to this situation here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Check back with us frequently!
