Update: Innovation Direct™ receives response to request for update from Ohio-based Innovation Direct To Industry™ company; manufacturer retains an advanced level of interest in 2 inventions…
Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with more Innovation Direct To Industry™-related news. Updating a situation we had most recently reported on in a May 1st posting (“Update: Innovation Direct™ seeks follow-up report from Ohio-based Innovation Direct To Industry™ company on 9 inventions under evaluation…“), the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of an Ohio-based household products company has received a response to his request for an update with respect to the 9 inventions that the manufacturer was reviewing detailed design information on for the last several weeks.
As per the e-mail received earlier Friday from the company’s Sales and Operations manager that serves as our contact, the company retains an advanced level of interest in 2 of the 9 items after discussing them thoroughly at a meeting this past Monday. The gentleman posed questions about the current patent status of the 2 items, as well as whether additional material was available beyond what was already included in the invention websites they had viewed.
It was explained to the company representative that neither invention is under any type of patent protection at this point, and that there is both an interactive virtual reality presentation and a prototype available for one of the product ideas. We are now awaiting our contact’s reply and impressions of this information and will pass along the details of any further developments, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Check back frequently for more on this developing situation!
