Update: Innovation Direct™ sends exclusive developmental agreements on 2 inventions to Ohio-based Innovation Direct To Industry™ company; additional research to be conducted on both items…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first Thursday update. Earlier Thursday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of an Ohio-based company specializing in kitchen accessories had responded to an e-mail request for an update regarding 2 inventions from their latest package that they retain an advanced level of interest in. This is the same situation we had most recently reported on in a May 20th entry (“Update: Innovation Direct™ seeks latest update from Ohio-based Innovation Direct To Industry™ company regarding two inventions that are subjects of advanced level of interest…“).

In our contact’s correspondence received earlier today, he explained that the company had not done anything further with the two inventions because they were waiting to receive the interactive virtual reality presentation on one of the items that we had informed them was available, as well as on the updated patent searches we had alluded to being able to arrange through an independent patent attorney for both of the items.

The Innovation Direct™ representative managing this situation replied and explained that we had been under the impression they were still deliberating what we had offered to do and that now that we were aware they were interested in having us move forward, we would be glad to have an independent patent attorney begin the patent searches. It was also explained to the company that in order to initiate this and also have the inventor of one of the product ideas send them his prototype for first-hand review, we would need to have them sign exclusive developmental agreements on both of the inventions. Copies of that document for each of the inventions was attached to the e-mail response sent to the company.

We now await the return of the signed agreement so that the next step can be taken with these inventions. We are pleased to see that they remain items of interest for this company and hope that we are one step closer to licensing success with both of them. Stay tuned to the Innovation Direct™ Blog for all updates pertaining to this developing situation!
