Innovation Direct™ meets with 2 infomercial giants as National Hardware Show 2009 comes to a close…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our final report concerning the National Hardware Show 2009. It has been a busy and eventful show for the Innovation Direct™ contingent at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and Thursday’s installment continued that trend. In fact, with the traditionally slower pace that a show’s final day traditionally bring, our colleagues had the opportunity to meet with two major companies in the multi-billion dollar infomercial industry, OnTel Products Corporation and Telebrands.
Ontel Products, founded in 1994, boasts offices in New Jersey, California, and Hong Kong as per their official website, and has manufactured, marketed, and distributed a host of successful products in a variety of categories over the years through both television and the traditional retail market. The Innovation Direct™ representative that spoke with them at their booth provided an overview of our Innovation Direct To Industry™ program, and made it clear that our company certainly had an eclectic group of product ideas to provide them for review. Our colleague was provided with the contact name for the individual in charge of new product submissions and we will certainly be conducting a follow-up shortly after the show’s conclusion.
Telebrands meanwhile, has been a prominent figure in the direct response landscape for over two decades as well. The company is the actual creator of the now famous “As Seen on TV” brand and can lay claim to a significant number of notable product “success stories” over the years. As per their official website, they have already launched a British office and plan other international locations in the coming years as well. Our representatives also had an opportunity to introduce the Innovation Direct To Industry™ program to them, and there will be further dialogue after the show’s conclusion about the company potentially reviewing inventions from our roster.
