Innovation Direct™ receives positive update from inventor of previously licensed mailbox accessory; full production appears imminent…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back in the saddle with a Tuesday update. Earlier Tuesday, Innovation Direct™ received a follow-up telephone call from the inventor of a mailbox accessory that our company had assisted in licensing back in 2007. As per the conversation, the product has had production molds completed and now appears to be well on its way to full production within a matter of a few short months.

The inventor, who has been working very closely with licensee on the development of the product since the agreement was signed, also had called us to obtain clarification regarding correspondence that he had received from the independent patent attorney on the intellectual property status of his concept. The Innovation Direct™ representative handling the matter was able to speak with the attorney on the inventor’s behalf and provide him with the answers he was seeking.

The inventor, who does have somewhat of a language barrier with respect to English, hence the need for our colleague to act as linguistic intermediary, expressed appreciation for all of our efforts and agreed to keep us abreast of all developments with respect to the attempted commercialization of the invention.
