Innovation Direct™ requests update from Missouri-based licensee of Rock and Mulch Guard product…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with the latest. Earlier Wednesday, Innovation Direct™ sent an e-mail to the president of a Missouri-based company that had licensed a lawn and garden product, the Rock and Mulch Guard, in early 2006 from our roster. The purpose of the correspondence was to determine whether the company has successfully launched production of the invention and if so, the number of sales that have been garnered to date.

Innovation Direct™ had assisted in promoting the item to potential distributors and retailers a few months after the licensing agreement was secured by placing a sample of the invention at the New Product Showcase during the National Hardware Show with Lawn and Garden World in 2006. A “one-sheet” promoting the features and benefits of the product that also included instructions on contacting the licensee for orders , as well as a customized virtual reality presentation, has been distributed at that event but we had not received any concrete information since that point.
