Update: Innovation Direct™ conducts telephone meeting with newest Innovation Direct To Industry™ company; first package of inventions already prepared and sent..
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with an update on a situation we had just reported on yesterday (“International Technology Transfer conducts e-mail follow-up campaign with multiple National Hardware Show leads; replies already received from two companies…“). Earlier Friday, the Innovation Direct™ representative that will manage the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of one of the manufacturers mentioned in that posting complied with a request from the president of the company by engaging in a brief introductory and explanatory telephone meeting regarding Innovation Direct To Industry™ . As we’d explained in the aforementioned entry, the manufacturer is an Illinois-based fabricator and marketer of a wide variety of tools targeted at both the do-it-yourself market and the professional.
The company representative was amenable to all of the terms of the Innovation Direct To Industry™ program, including the customary confidentiality policies that Innovation Direct™ operates under. Although admittedly never having licensed an invention from an external source, the company president did emphasize they’ve certainly considered doing so on a number of past occasions but haven’t really seen any new product concepts they wanted to commit to.
With the conversation having gone very well, our colleague that will be managing the company’s Innovation Direct To Industry™ account selected and sent preliminary, non-confidential information on 10 hardware and tool inventions from the database late Friday afternoon directly to the company president. We are certainly enthused by the fast start this relationship has gotten of to and will continue to provide updates as it evolves, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Make our space a frequent stop!
