Update: Innovation Direct™ inventor sends prototype of infant accessory to potential licensee…

Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back once again with another update on a busy Friday. Earlier this morning, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner received a note via e-mail from the inventor of an infant accessory that is currently the subject of an advanced level of interest from a New York-based children’s products conglomerate. As per the communication, the inventor has prepared and sent a new prototype to the company, as per the president of the company’s request. We had most recently reported on this ongoing situation in a February 16th posting (“Update: International Technology Transfer speaks to inventor of infant accessory that is subject of advanced level of interest; new prototype to be prepared and sent to potential licensee in coming days…“).

The manufacturer will now be evaluating the prototype first-hand in order to make a final determination on whether or not they will commit to licensing the concept on a long-term basis. We have already alerted our industry partner as to this latest development since the company displaying the interest was introduced to the product idea by him, and he has agreed to keep us aware of any feedback he receives from them. We will in turn keep you abreast of the latest developments with this situation, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Make our space a frequent stop!
