Update: Innovation Direct™ inventor’s infant item subject of advanced level of interest through West Coast-based industry partner; exclusive developmental licensing agreement may be forthcoming…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a very positive report. Updating a situation we had most recently reported on in a December 1st entry (“Update: Innovation Direct™ seeks, receives update from industry partner regarding infant inventions…“), our West Coast-based industry partner has informed us that one of the infant items that was the subject of that posting is the subject of an advanced level of interest from a New York-based baby products outfit that he regularly does business with. Additionally, our colleague let us know that he would pass along a copy of an exclusive developmental agreement to his contact at the manufacturer to sign, since they will likely be requesting that the inventor send along her prototype in the near future for their first-hand evaluation.
Another important development stemming from the conversation earlier Tuesday is that the company in question is actually one that is already in our Innovation Direct To Industry™ program, and which we have had a very challenging time obtaining feedback from on the initial batch of concepts that was sent to them back in August. Our most recent attempt to contact this company was detailed in a December 17th posting (“Update: Innovation Direct™ makes third attempt to obtain feedback on 10 invention Innovation Direct To Industry™ package…“).
We have come to an agreement with our industry partner to have him follow up on the initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package on our behalf, since he has a direct relationship with two of the highest executives within the company. The preliminary, non-confidential information on the 10 inventions has already been forwarded via e-mail to our industry partner, and he will be reviewing the material to select which ones he’d like to talk to the manufacturer about in detail.
We will continue to keep you updated here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog as things continue to develop with this situation. Stay tuned!
