Update: Innovation Direct™ makes third attempt at follow-up with India-based company regarding licensing agreement draft…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with an update on a situation we had most recently reported on in a January 7th entry (“Update: International Technology Transfer attempts second follow-up with India-based manufacturer regarding licensing agreement draft sent for sports accessory…“). Earlier Monday, the Innovation Direct™ representative that has been managing the advanced level of interest in a sports accessory being displayed by an India-based sporting goods company for the last year and a half sent a third follow-up e-mail to the company president requesting his feedback on the licensing agreement draft he had been sent for the invention.
The company, which had at one time signed a short-term exclusive developmental licensing agreement for the item, has not responded to our previous attempts to contact them since the licensing agreement was initially sent. A recent conversation that our colleague had with the inventor cemented a plan of action that stipulates that if the potential licensee does not respond to the latest e-mail within a certain number of days, an official letter via international mail will follow that will provide them with a final deadline to retain the rights of first refusal on the concept.
We will continue to keep you abreast of any and all developments, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Stay tuned!
