Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update on a company we had just reported on yesterday (“Update: International Technology Transfer requests and receives update from New York-based kitchen products company regarding 9 inventions in initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package…“). Earlier Tuesday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the company’s Innovation Direct To Industry™ account received a request for more clarification from his contact regarding why we needed for them to sign a non-disclosure agreement before viewing detailed design information on the concepts.

Our colleague reminded the manufacturer’s representative that the majority of the inventions that our company represents are still conceptual in nature and therefore unpatented, hence the need for confidentiality to be guaranteed in writing before any detailed information was divulged. To conclude his e-mail response, our colleague also expressed our company’s hope that our need for a non-disclosure agreement to be executed would not prevent the business relationship from moving forward.
