Update: Innovation Direct™ receives response from inventor of cleaning accessory regarding manufacturer questions; company also agrees to join Innovation Direct To Industry™ program…

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back with yet another update on a situation we have been reporting on throughout our day. Monday afternoon, the inventor of a cleaning accessory returned our phone call regarding questions that a Florida-based manufacturer had about his product idea. We had most recently reported on this ongoing situation in an entry earlier today (“Update: International Technology Transfer receives indication of further interest in cleaning accessory from Florida-based company; signing of exclusive developmental licensing agreement appears imminent…“).

We were able to relay the answers to the questions, which incidentally, pertained to an aspect of the product idea’s design and the availability of a prototype of it for review, to the manufacturer via e-mail. The company representative responded by asking one additional question about the exclusivity his company would gain by signing the developmental licensing agreement document we had sent them for the invention. That inquiry was promptly answered by the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the situation, and we are hopeful that we will soon receive the executed document in return so that the prototype can be shipped.

In a related development, the company also agreed to become a part of our Innovation Direct To Industry™ program after becoming more acquainted with it during a conversation with our colleague that has been managing this situation since the onset. The manufacturer is interested in all types of cleaning items from the home, marine, and RV industries and accordingly, searches will begin soon for items that fit this criteria.

This situation is likely to continue to develop tomorrow and we will have updates right in this space when it does. Stop by the Innovation Direct™ Blog frequently!
