Update: Innovation Direct™ receives response from Texas-based manufacturer regarding detailed design information reviewed on drink accessory; questions posed regarding materials, answers obtained…
Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with an update on a situation we had initially reported on in a December 4th entry (“Update: Innovation Direct™ receives signed non-disclosure agreement for drink accessory from Texas-based manufacturer; access to detailed design information sent…“). Earlier Wednesday, we received a response from the manufacturer that was the subject of that entry regarding the drink accessory they had been provided detailed design information about in early December.
As per the e-mail communication received, the company found the invention details interesting but felt it might be difficult to find the material to make it from that would allow the product to effectively function as it was envisioned to. In the same correspondence, they requested that we attempt to contact the inventor regarding the matter and find out if she had any further insight stemming from any previous attempts she may have made at developing a sample..
Accordingly, the Innovation Direct™ representative that has been managing the manufacturer’s interest since its onset did reach out successfully to the inventor this morning. During the conversation, the inventor was able to provide our colleague with the details on the materials she had utilized when making a rough prototype of her concept some time ago and the information was promptly passed along to the company representative via e-mail already.
As soon as we receive any further feedback we will certainly pass it along, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Stay tuned!
