Update: Innovation Direct™ requests and receives update from New York-based kitchen products company regarding 9 inventions in initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package…
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming back in with our second Innovation Direct To Industry™-related upate for the week. Earlier Monday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of a New York-based kitchen products company that had been a fellow exhibitor at last March’s International Home and Housewares Show sent a follow-up e-mail to his contact at the company regarding the preliminary, non-confidential information sent on 9 inventions several weeks ago. We had reported on our most recent attempt to obtain an update in a December 18th entry (“Update: International Technology Transfer makes second attempt to follow up with New York-based kitchen products company regarding initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package…“).
A couple of hours after the correspondence was sent today, a response was received. As per the e-mail reply from the manufacturer, they feel they would need to see detailed visuals on each of the items to get a full grasp on whether or not they’d be interested in them. A response was promptly crafted and sent to the company in which they were reminded that in order for detailed design information to be released on each concept as requested, a non-disclosure agreement would have to be signed. A sample copy of the confidentiality document our company typically utilizes was attached to the e-mail, so as to provide the manufacturer a convenient method of reviewing its terms and deciding if they were acceptable.
We are hopeful that we will be able to proceed to the next step seamlessly with this company, but only time will tell. Join us here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog for the details on any developments with this situation!
