Update: Innovation Direct™ sends follow-up letter and second copy of non-disclosure agreement to Minnesota-based manufacturer regarding automotive accessory…
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with first news-related posting of 2009. Earlier Friday, Innovation Direct™ sent a follow-up letter and second copy of a non-disclosure agreement to a Minnesota-based manufacturer that had expressed initial interest in an automotive accessory from our roster several weeks ago. We had reported on that development in a November 20th entry (“International Technology Transfer inventor’s automotive-related accessory subject of initial interest from Minnesota-based company; non-disclosure agreement sent…“).
As we’d explained in that posting, we had sent the company a confidentiality agreement in response to their interest, which had arisen after they’d received and reviewed preliminary, non-confidential information about the concept at that time. With well over a month having passed since the original copy of the non-disclosure agreement had been sent, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the situation since the onset felt it would be a prudent time to attempt a follow-up.
We certainly hope that the second time will be the charm in terms of getting this company to agree to confidentiality, an action which would allow us to provide them access with all of the detailed design information available about the invention. As customary, any and all updates to this situation will be found right here in the Innovation Direct™ Blog.
Join us on Monday as we kick off our first full work week of 2009!
