Update: Innovation Direct™ prepared to send revised digital rendition of medical accessory to Massachusetts-based company…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a quick update regarding a situation we had last reported on in an April 28th entry (“Update: Innovation Direct™ receives update from inventor regarding manufacturer’s interest in his product…“). As we’d explained in that posting, a Massachusetts-based manufacturer that had been reviewing the detailed design information on a medical accessory from the Innovation Direct™ roster had developed specific questions about the product’s functionality and spoken with the inventor about them over the telephone. At the point of the aforementioned posting, the company had informed the inventor that the current design of his concept was too costly to produce, but that a modified version might prove more palatable.
Once the inventor had conceptualized the changes he thought would work well, he requested that Innovation Direct™ facilitate the creation of a new digital depiction of his product to eventually present to the company. This process was completed late Monday and forwarded to the inventor for review. Earlier Tuesday, the inventor informed Innovation Direct™ via e-mail that the new digital rendition was satisfactory.
Therefore, the new image will be sent to the company contact before the week is over. We are certainly hopeful the material will reignite the manufacturer’s interest, but only time will tell. Join us on the Innovation Direct™ Blog to stay on top of all developments with this situation!
