Update: Innovation Direct™ receives response from New York-based baby products company regarding non-disclosure agreement sent…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our second and final update for a Friday. Following up on a situation we had most recently reported on in a July 30th entry (“New York-based manufacturer demonstrating preliminary interest in Innovation Direct™ inventor’s baby product; invitation for Innovation Direct To Industry™ extended to company…“), Innovation Direct™ has received a response from our contact at a New York-based baby products conglomerate regaring the non-disclosure agreement we’d recently sent them for a baby accessory from our roster they had expressed initial interest in.
As per the e-mail received from our contact, the company will require Innovation Direct™ sign their version of a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement as opposed to them signing Innovation Direct™’s NDA document. The e-mail also had the Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement attached and it has already been reviewed by Innovation Direct™. We are pleased to report that the agreement’s terms were more than adequate in protecting the confidentiality of the invention and therefore, it has already been signed and sent back to the manufacturer. Once we receive a fully executed copy in return from them, we will be able to provide them with access to all of the detailed design information available on the item.
We’ll continue to keep you updated on any and all developments with this situation. Check in often!
