Update: Innovation Direct™ seeks update from New York-based baby products manufacturer regarding signing of NDA and initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with an update on a company we had most recently reported on in an August 22nd entry (“Update: Innovation Direct™ receives preliminary positive feedback from New York-based baby products company regarding initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package…“). As we’d explained in that posting, a New York-based baby products conglomerate had provided us with preliminary postive feedback on the type of inventions we’d chosen to send them in their initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package. Incidentally, this company had accepted our invitation to join the Innovation Direct To Industry™ program back on July 31st (“Update: New York-based company accepts Innovation Direct™’s Innovation Direct To Industry™ invitation; initial package to be put together in near future…“), an offer that had been extended when they had initially communicated with Innovation Direct™ due to their interest in learning more about an electronic safety accessory for babies. We had reported on that situation in a July 30th posting (“New York-based manufacturer demonstrating preliminary interest in Innovation Direct™ inventor’s baby product; invitation for Innovation Direct To Industry™ extended to company…“).

Our contact at the company, who is in the New Product Development department, had explained that he’d forwarded the copy of their Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement that Innovation Direct™ had already signed to the president of the firm, along with the preliminary, non-confidential information on 11 product ideas that had been contained in their initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package. The Mutual NDA, once fully executed, will serve as a permanent agreement on file for this company that will allow Innovation Direct™ to provide them direct access to all of the detailed design information available on an invention from the moment it is designated to be sent to them for review.

We are hopeful of receiving the signed agreement and feedback back very soon and will certainly update you on any developments, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Stay tuned!
