Update: Innovation Direct™ sends follow-up letter and second copy of non-disclosure agreement regarding hardware accessory to Indiana-based manufacturer…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back with another update. Earlier Monday, a follow-up letter and second copy of a non-disclosure agreement regarding a hardware accessory from the Innovation Direct™ roster was sent to an Indiana-based hardware products company that had also been a fellow exhibitor of Innovation Direct™’s at the National Hardware Show back in May. We had initially reported on this situation in an September 23rd entry (“Innovation Direct™ sends preliminary information on shovel invention to National Hardware Show 2008 lead…“).
As we’d explained in that posting, the company had been identified by an Innovation Direct™ representative as a potentially viable candidate for the invention due to their existing product line, and had agreed to review preliminary, non-confidential information on the concept. Accordingly, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the situation had sent the manufacturer the materials along with a non-disclosure agreement. With over a month having passed since that initial communication, our aforementioned colleague felt it would be prudent to send a follow-up communication in an attempt to prompt the company to return the signed non-disclosure agreement.
