Update: Innovation Direct™ speaks to automotive accessory inventor regarding latest communication from manufacturer; new prototype samples likely to be sent soon for testing…
Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking right back in with an update on the situation discussed in today’s earlier entry (“Innovation Direct™ inventor’s automotive accessory still subject of interest from Arizona-based company after extended period; evaluation phase likely to be prolonged…“). As we’d explained in that posting, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing a situation involving an advanced level of interest in an automotive accessory by an Arizona-based manufacturer was due to place a call to the inventor to gauge his willingness to prolong the exclusive developmental period afforded to the company.
Upon speaking to the inventor this afternoon and relaying the latest information, the aforementioned Innovation Direct™ representative was pleasantly surprised to learn that the inventor had recently developed a potentially significant improvement on the product by changing the materials it was composed from. The inventor offered to put together samples as soon as possible provided that the manufacturer wanted to review them. Additionally, the inventor did provide his consent to extend the exclusive developmental period for the company until late November, representing a 180 day extension retroactive to the expiration date of the original extension of the original agreement.
The manufacturer had already been informed of these latest developments via e-mail and has also been sent the extension document for signature. We now await their reply on whether they will want to review the new samples and if so, how many they would prefer to receive. We will continue to update you every step of the way on this rapidly developing situation, here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog. Check in often!
