Update: Innovation Direct™ attempts follow-up with California-based dBest Products, Inc. regarding initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest report. Earlier Wednesday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of California-based dBest Products, Inc. sent a follow-up e-mail to his contact at the firm regarding their initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package. We had most recently reported on this company, and some slight confusion on their end regarding our confidentiality policies, in an April 13th posting (“Update: Innovation Direct™ receives feedback from dBest Products, Inc. on initial Innovation Direct To Industry™ package; further clarification on confidentiality procedures provided…“).

As we’d explained in that entry, the company’s response to the preliminary, non-confidential information on the 5 inventions sent in their initial batch was an e-mail in which they expressed confusion as to why pictures of the items had not been included. Our aforementioned colleague had replied by reminding his contact at the manufacturer about the fact that the majority of the inventions we represented were not patented, hence the practice of divulging only preliminary information at the onset of presenting the concept to a potential licensee. With over a week having passed since that explanation was provided, we felt that a follow-up attempt would be timely at this point.
