Update: Innovation Direct™ discusses manufacturer’s decision on cleaning accessory with inventor; e-mail communication to be sent to company tomorrow…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking back in with our latest update regarding a situation we’d just reported about in an April 13th posting (“Update: Innovation Direct™ requests, receives further clarification on future direction to be taken by Florida-based manufacturer with cleaning accessory…“). Earlier Wednesday, the Innovation Direct™ representative that has been managing the advanced level of interest shown by a Florida-based manufacturer in the cleaning accessory that was the subject of that entry spoke with the inventor regarding recent feedback the company had provided about the invention.

As we’d explained in the aforementioned posting, the company had decided not to go any further with the concept, apparently in large part because of a product they’d found on the marked that appeared very similar to a component the inventor is using in his product idea. The inventor and our colleague had a conversation in which they put together a list of questions for the company regarding their decision, as well as some counterarguments that would appear to be valid points to make about the situation.

Everything discussed today will be summarized in the form of an e-mail and sent to the company contact tomorrow. We are certainly hopeful that the information in the correspondence will prompt the manufacturer to reconsider their thinking regarding the matter, but only time will tell. Check in with the Innovation Direct™ Blog for the latest details on this still developing situation!
