Update: Innovation Direct™ places call to Florida-based manufacturer regarding cleaning accessory; company’s position remains unchanged…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back with a follow-up on a situation we’d most recently reported about in a May 7th entry (“Update: Innovation Direct™ receives phone call from inventor of cleaning accessory regarding manufacturer; telephone follow-up to happen soon…“). Earlier Monday, the Innovation Direct™ representative that managed the interest shown by a Florida-based manufacturer in the cleaning accessory that was the subject of that posting placed a follow-up telephone call to the firm’s president to discuss an e-mail he’d sent him back on April 16th (“Update: Innovation Direct™ composes, sends e-mail to Florida-based manufacturer regarding cleaning accessory…“).

As we’d explained in the April posting, Innovation Direct™ had provided the potential licensee with some counterpoints to reasons they had provided as to why they were considering not going any further with the invention. The company representative had never responded to the April 16th correspondence, nor to two subsequent attempts to follow up via e-mail, hence today’s call.

Although our colleague reiterated Innovation Direct™ and the inventor’s position on the invention’s viability, the manufacturer remained steadfast in wanting to wait to see if the product idea was eventually granted the patent that the inventor has already applied for before investing any money into it. We had certainly hoped for a different outcome, but remain enthused by the fact that we will present the item to several additional manufacturers in the coming weeks and months, as well as by this company’s statement that they will be extremely interested if the concept is indeed granted its patent.
