Update: Innovation Direct™ receives feedback on confidentiality process from Fitness Quest, Inc….

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, back with an update regarding a situation we’d most recently reported on just yesterday (“Update: Innovation Direct™ conducts successful phone call with Fitness Quest executive; initial package of inventions to be put together soon…“). Thursday afternoon, the Innovation Direct representative that will be managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of Fitness Quest, Inc., one of the companies that had responded to our post-International Home and Housewares Show 2009 Innovation Direct To Industry™ e-mail campaign, received an e-mail update from his contact regarding what specific confidentiality procedures will be followed in our mutual dealings through the program.

As we’d explained in the aforementioned posting, the company contact had agreed to speak to his legal department to explore the possibility of having the two companies sign a “permanent” version of their non-disclosure agreement, an act that would enable Innovation Direct™ to send Fitness Quest access to detailed design information on inventions from the onset of presenting the concepts to them. However, as per today’s communication, the manufacturer’s legal department prefers that we proceed with sending our contact preliminary, non-confidential information on the batches of inventions initially, and then executing a non-disclosure agreement for the product ideas from the group that are deemed to be of further interest after that material is reviewed.

We will move forward with preparing this company’s first Innovation Direct To Industry™ package as planned, and are looking forward to a mutually successful business relationship. Join us here on the Innovation Direct™ Blog for all future updates!
