Update: Innovation Direct™ receives final feedback from Innovation Direct To Industry™ plumbing products company on invention that was subject of advanced level of interest; impressions of other 5 product ideas still pending…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with an update on a situation we’d last reported on in an April 8th entry (“Update: Innovation Direct™ receives response to follow-up attempt from Texas-based Innovation Direct To Industry™ company; inventor’s prototype received …“). Earlier Monday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of the Texas-based plumbing products manufacturer that was the subject of that posting received an e-mail from his contact at the firm that provided closure on their evaluation of a plumbing accessory from our roster that they had expressed an advanced level of interest in.

As per the communication received, the company will not go any further with the invention. The gentleman cited several reasons for the decision rendered, including the fact that the product would not be able to be comfortably stored by a consumer in their home when not in use, the potential manufacturing costs, and other reasons related to the functionality of the item.

While certainly not the outcome we had hoped for, Innovation Direct™ will continue to diligently pursue licensing success on behalf of this concept. Additionally, we are still awaiting the manufacturer’s impressions of the preliminary, non-confidential information on 5 product ideas they were sent in their second Innovation Direct To Industry™ package and hope to receive those soon.
