Update: Innovation Direct™ receives latest update from West Coast-based industry partner regarding licensing agreement for pool accessory; company also seeking new category of inventions…

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming back in with our latest update on a busy Thursday. Earlier this morning, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of our West Coast-based industry partner received a telephone call from him with the latest on the licensing agreement that is expected to be signed for a pool accessory by a Canadian company he does business with. We had most recently reported on this ongoing situation in a March 19th posting (“Update: Innovation Direct™ checks in with West Coast-based industry partner regarding licensing agreement to be signed for pool accessory…“).

As per this morning’s conversation, the potential licensee is expecting to have a full costing report from their overseas factory by next week, at which point they will proceed with signing the document, assuming the numbers come back favorably. Judging by our industry partner’s opinion, there apparently is little chance that the report will be prohibitive and highly likely the agreement will be executed.

Additionally, our industry colleague did inform us that the manufacturer is also in search of outdoor cooking tools and accessories. Considering that this is a fairly prolific category within the Innovation Direct™ roster, we will soon begin searches towards putting together a batch of these types of concepts for the company’s review.
