Update: Innovation Direct™ receives reply from Design Ideas, Inc. regarding request for update on 13 inventions; more feedback likely next week…

Greetings, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with our latest report. Earlier Tuesday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of Illinois-based Design Ideas, Inc., a company that had been a fellow exhibitor at the 2008 edition of the International Home and Housewares Show, received a brief reply from his contact at the firm, and promise for a long-overdue detailed update next week on their feedback concerning 13 inventions from our roster. We had last reported on this situation in an April 24th posting (“Update: Innovation Direct™ attempts final follow-up regarding 13 inventions with Illinois-based International Home and Housewares Show 2008 lead…“).

As we’d explained in that entry, our aforementioned colleague had made what he considered to be his final attempt to obtain feedback from the manufacturer. The company had originally received the preliminary, non-confidential information on 13 concepts several months ago, and had not responded to any of our requests for updates so far in 2009 until earlier today.

The company representative apologized for the delay in responding and praised Innovation Direct™ for its diligence in following up consistently throughout the recent months. He went on to explain in his e-mail that he was out of the country until the beginning of next week and would definitely provide a detailed update at that point.
