Update: Innovation Direct™ receives signed non-disclosure agreement for personal medical accessory from AccuMed Technologies; company changes stance on review inventor’s idea, detailed design information sent…
Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, chiming in with our latest report. Earlier Thursday, Innovation Direct™ received a signed non-disclosure agreement for a personal medical accessory from AccuMed Technologies, a company that several days back appeared to be incompatible with the inventor’s licensing goals. We had last reported on this manufacturer and situation in an August 6th entry (http://innovationdirectonline.com/blog/?p=1145).
The signed document was certainly unexpected, given the fact that the company had explained they only manufactured products for other companies for a fee and did not market or distribute their own products whatsoever. However, the inventor had apparently stayed in touch with the company contact since that point, and had asked that he review the detailed information on his concept in the event he could perhaps recommend it to one of the companies they had professional relationships with. AccuMed had consented to this, hence the return of the confidentiality agreement.
Access to all of the detailed design information on the concept was already sent via e-mail earlier Thursday to AccuMed, and the inventor was asked to contact us if we could be of any further assistance. Stay tuned to the Innovation Direct™ Blog for any further updates regarding this situation!
