Update: Innovation Direct™ receives update from Florida-based manufacturer regarding evaluation of cleaning accessory; patent attorney’s opinion likely to be sought…
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our final update regarding a busy Tuesday. Late Tuesday evening, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the advanced level of interest that a Florida-based manufacturer has expressed in a cleaning accessory from our roster received an e-mail from the firm’s president regarding the latest in their ongoing evaluation of the invention. Incidentally, we had most recently reported on this situation in a March 13th posting (“Update: Innovation Direct™ provides Florida-based cleaning products manufacturer with contact information for 2 prototype developers; company seeking to have professional sample made of cleaning accessory…“).
As per the communication received this evening, the manufacturer believes they have found a supplier for a key component of the product, and now want to obtain a professional patent attorney’s opinion on whether the inventor’s existing patent application will be able to successfully encompass the specific design of that supplier’s component. In his e-mail reply, our colleague did suggest to the company contact that the next logical course of action for them will likely be to consult with the inventor’s patent attorney, but that he will get back to him on Wednesday after speaking the inventor directly.
We are certainly pleased to be able to report that this company appears to be very serious about the potential production of this item, and hope that all of this is an indication of possible licensing success in the future.
