Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in once more with an update. Earlier Thursday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the Innovation Direct To Industry™ account of Illinois-based SmartPro Tools, Inc. sent an e-mail communication to his contact at the firm in yet another attempt to obtain their feedback on the preliminary, non-confidential information they’d received on 10 concepts from our roster when they joined the program back in February. Today’s e-mail follows a personal meeting that took place at the company’s booth during the National Hardware Show 2009 in May, a conversation in which our trade show representative was informed by the company contact that they were still in the process of reviewing the material and which we detailed in one of our May 6th postings from the event (“Innovation Direct™ meets with numerous manufacturers, including Innovation Direct To Industry™ company, during Day 2 of National Hardware Show 2009…“).

We are pleased to report that today’s follow-up attempt did meet with success, as the manufacturer was able to inform us that 3 out of the 10 inventions in the batch were of further interest. Accordingly, our aforementioned colleague promptly prepared and sent a non-disclosure agreement encompassing the trio of product ideas to the company representative via e-mail later Thursday afternoon.

We now await the return of the confidentiality agreement that once signed, will allow us to provide SmartPro Tools, Inc. with access to all of the detailed design information on the inventions. Join us frequently here for updates on the Innovation Direct™ Blog!
