Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing back once more with a quick update on a situation we’d most recently reported on just yesterday (“Update: Innovation Direct™ receives update from Florida-based manufacturer regarding evaluation of cleaning accessory; patent attorney’s opinion likely to be sought…“). Earlier Wednesday, the Innovation Direct™ representative managing the advanced level of interest being shown in the cleaning accessory by a Florida-based manufacturer that was the subject of that posting spoke with the inventor of the concept regarding the patent-related concerns the president of the company had expressed.

As we’d explained in the entry yesterday, the manufacturer had found a supplier that could provide one of the components needed for the product, but wanted to confirm that the inventor’s patent would successfully protect the design of the component. Accordingly, at our colleague’s suggestion, the inventor has asked the company to contact his patent attorney in order to get a professional opinion on the matter. The inventor forwarded the patent attorney’s contact information to the potential licensee and asked his attorney to contact the company as well.
